Latest Reviews for Priceless Treasure In Ordinary Places
Sharon paints pictures with her words, giving us the vision where we are able to engage with each character as they experience God, and the moment their lives were changed. I experienced both wrestling and hope, as they pondered in each interaction, claiming fears, doubt, grieving losses, as well as claiming victories. I saw my story between the lines, as well as how God was in it all. Sharon’s writings are a legacy for her daughters and the next generation, reminding us that our journey consists of both joy and hardships. And in the end He is both near and faithful.

Wife, mother, mentor, counselorReading through Sharon Cavers’ latest offering I realized quickly that I held in my hand a priceless treasure. Given a Glimpse of the Past, I watched the interaction at Jacob’s well between the oft-married Samaritan woman and the Supplier of life-giving water. I stood at the door with the prodigal’s father anxiously looking for his son to appear on the horizon. Sharon’s carefully crafted words reminded me afresh that we do have an Anchor for the Present in this storm-tossed world and a Hope for the Future. My heart was moved. Yours will be too. Enjoy this treasure and rejoice in the truth that we are loved by a sovereign, eternal God.

She then takes her readers to the present struggles of today’s world and leads them to the same Christ who still offers healing and hope. A fitting title for these nuggets of truth that will make the ordinary – extraordinary.

Author of COME WALK IN MY GARDENSharon has chosen Bible stories and carefully crafted the characters to help bring them dynamically to life through her poetry. In the poem, “Broken Chains,” the visual images portrayed are ripping. This book will appeal to anyone wanting a fresh take on familiar stories and also for anyone wanting to start a conversation with friends and family. Sharon’s poetry openly shares the joy, the pain, the struggles, and challenges of life. Each person will find something to soothe their soul and lead them closer to the one who saves.

Women’s Ministry Leader, Christian Education co-leader-Bethel Evangelical Missionary ChurchSharon’s poems, like music, carry and express the passions of life as she personifies the characters and stories of the Scriptures. The beauty of this form is that she magnifies our Lord Jesus and her love for Him. As well, she leads us to worship Him. From the historical Jesus to her own fears and hopes she sets forth the truths of the lives of historical biblical characters. And really, in the experiences of life, their lives were not much different than ours. Poetry is language in motion; not just static words to communicate mechanical thought, but beautiful words mixed with strong feelings. This, Sharon has accomplished in Priceless Treasure in Ordinary Places—a wonderful book of devotion.
