Sharon Cavers is an award-winning freelance writer, a logophile, and an avid reader. Early in life she discovered the beauty and power of words and her fascination with their shapes, rhythms and sounds has found expression in journaling for over 39 years.

“My bookshelves are overflowing, yet I have a hard time parting with any of these treasures. I agree with Charles W. Eliot, “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”

Sharon is the founder of The Writer’s Crucible, a critiquing group established in 1992, designed to offer help, encouragement and support for Christian writers. In 2008, the group published A Feast for the Soul Served with Love—The Writer’s Crucible Collection.

In 2005, Sharon created a line of inspirational greeting cards and gifts under the Garden Path Inspirations logo. Along with writing verses for her cards, she has written a book of poetry and is presently working on a devotional book. Her forthcoming book Cut The Strings, a book for parents and teens, was co-authored with her daughter, Amy.

In her leisure time Sharon can most often be found reading on the porch swing with her husband, working in one of her many flower gardens, or playing with her three grandchildren.

"My garden, with its silence and pulses of fragrance that come and go on the airy undulations, affects me like sweet music. Care stops at the gates, and gazes at me wistfully through the bars."
